Main responsibility:
－ －Creates/develops/realizes designs in CAD.
－ － Active in development of concepts in accordance with Product Workshops.
－ － Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs.
－ －Represents all design activities during product development.
－ － Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers.
－ － Independent member of the development team – influence on product engineering.
Job description:
－ － Creation of concepts for new products (product workshops).
－ － Champions all design related activity for assigned program.
－ － Provides support for attaining agreements regarding design details within Brose/at customer/supplier.
－ － Active participation in Development Team Meetings (EAK, also participates in formal design/engineering reviews (A-D Checklist, DFMEA, specification review, etc), and informal reviews with Test Engineer and Team Engineer.
－ － Ensures designs being made available in a timely manner to support releases (e.g. -100 release), co-ordinates/negotiates on alternate design completion dates.
－ － Responsible for the communication/information to your support staff, close monitoring of the design.
－ － Provides support to ensure the conformance of the product to customer/Brose specifications.
－ － Monitors actual project capacity needs during product development, pro-active discussion with supervisor.
－ － Assist and mentor other designers in best practices, kinematics, customer CAD systems, etc.
－ － Considers program development according to A0 Chart.
Job requirement:
－ － Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or other related major.
－ － Over 3 years relevant experience, preferably in automotive industry.
－ － Experience with metal stamping parts.
－ －Thorough knowledge of CATIA, familiar with TS****** and ISO ******.
－ － Fluent English, both written and spoken.
