MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspector is responsible for the following tasks;
1. To perform shop inspection, especially E&I (Electric & Instrument) equipment
2. Full acknowledgement of the latest Purchaser Order (PO) and approved SUPPLIER’s inspection documents.
3. Perform the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM), if applicable.
4. Coordination with CLIENT and/or CERTIFYING AUTHORITY on all inspection activities
5. Communicate with SQM QC Engineer and/or SUPPLIER’s inspector in a professional manner to effectively prevent and solve problems.
6. To perform the inspection that the equipment and material are being manufactured in accordance with the approved ITP, PO and project specification.
7. Review of SUPPLIER’s inspection records and/or reports
8. To issue an inspection report & manage the inspection results such as punch list with non-conformity items, Inspection Release Certificate (IRC), etc.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience of inspection related E&I (Electric & Instrument) equipment (like Transformer, SWGR, MCC, UPS & Battery Charge, Motor, Control Valve, etc.) is highly preferred.
2. Bachelor degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, preferably in mechanical of industrial manufacturing related discipline.
3. Solid experience in an international EPC company or NOTIFY BODY such as SGS, TUV, Moody, BV, etc is preferred.
4. 10+ working experience ,at least 5 years experience as an inspection relevant position for a similar business field (Hydrocarbon, Energy, Power Plant experience preferred)
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, ability to develop relationships with related parties and suppliers.
6. Result oriented, a good team player and be able to work under pressure
7. Willing to travel locally to drive inspection activities
8. Fluent in English
